I’m a sucker for all things Steampunk. And this stem-powered kinetic sculpture created by fellow Steampunker Alan Rorie alias Almost Scientific is a very exciting prospect though I’m almost certain it couldn’t get us back to the future! Built-in collaboration with Kinetic Steam Works, the “Time Machine” was first displayed at the Edwardian Ball in 2008 and will be on show again at the Steampunk Treehouse instillation at the Coachella music festival. It’s beautiful to look at, but I would surely love for it to function! Watch the video for a sense of what the first step towards time travel looks like!
