I am a fan of all Hollywood movies that have some F/X scenes in them. Well this is a list of the ten best F/X Scenes in movie history.
1) Star Wars:

This film was made long before I was even born. The science fiction that was used in the movie was awesome and many of the Sci-Fi artifacts of the movie have now been made real. This movie was made in 1977 and was the first movie to use computers to control the complex series of camera movements.

2) Tron:

Tron was made in 1982 and was not the only movie in which some Computer Graphics were used. But it was the first movie in which computer graphics were used to develop a virtual 3D world.

3) Terminator 2-Judgment Day:

This is one of my favorite trilogies. The movie used high-tech computer graphics models onto which a liquid-metal humanoid robot was layered.

4) Cliffhanger:

In the movie some digital editing was used that though is much common these days but was not so common during the time of the movies release. In the movie Stallone was held up by wires that were later digitally removed from it.

5) Jurassic Park:

It has been millions of years since the most destructive animal got extinct from our planet. But the developers of Jurassic Park made them alive once again. In the movie digital dinos were a revelation. They had realistic movements and textured muscles and skin.

6) Forrest Gump:

The movie was released in 1994 and used digital effects to create fantasy and alter history. They used Kodak’s Cineon System to compose Tom Hank’s character into historical clips.

7) The Perfect Storm:

This was released in 2000. Though till that time much work had been done in Computer Graphics field then also the makers had to do a lot of work to make the digital water in the movie look real.

8) Lord Of The Rings:

This is the biggest trilogy of all times and was released in 2001. The makers used a massive computer program that generated crowds of artificially intelligent individuals.

9) The Polar Express:

The director of this movie used large motion-capture stage and more than 200 cameras to gather data from the performance of the actors that was later used to create digital versions of the actors while maintaining their performance.

10) The Day After Tomorrow:

The creators of this film took more than 50,000 photos of New York City and scanned them into computer to create a 3D model of the city. That model was later used in destroying the metropolis and covering it with ice. Cool huh...!
