Many of us have seen some crazy and ingenious custom-made computer system cases. We’ve seen Xbox PCs, Starship Enterprise PCs and much more, but now here is a new one with a much more ’spiritual’ concept. It’s call the Archbishop Computer. It’s a personal computer system built into a biblical case. The PC sports some impressive hardware.

Some of the items include:

- AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Processor (2.6 GHz)
- ASUS M2A-VM Motherboard
- 2GB DDR2 RAM (upgradable to 8GB)
- 250GB S-ATA HDD
- NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS Video Card

Gothic artwork inspired Richard Nagy aka Datamancer to design this case. It features Morisco-patterned glasswork, brass linings and hinged doors giving access to various pieces of internal hardware. There are also red lights illuminating the inside of the system, for that red glow. The system sports a cool 20-inch LCD LG monitor with glass opening door for protection. The keys of the keyboard are made of a light coloured wood, matching the general ensemble of the exterior faceplates and also features nice golden support brackets on each side. Finally there is the gothic-themed mouse, with its golden buttons.

The back of the system is designed to look like the walls of Catholic Confessional booths.

Here are some of the comments made by the creator:

I wanted my lighting to be as subtle and ambient as possible so I added these C-shaped brass pieces around each CCFL bulb to act as both reflectors and blinders. The polished surface of the brass directs the light back into the case while the small “walls” block the bulb from being directly visible through the glass when you look at the Archbishop from different angles.

You can take a look at this fun system from August 16-24 at the Steampunk Art Show being held at the Hamptons Antique Galleries in New York. The system is set for sale on eBay later this year.

All I have to say about this is Bravo. Congratulations to creativity. It’s good to see artists coming out with new and innovative concepts to change what we have in our present and in the future. Also, I don’t think anyone could really get offended here since it does not go against any religious rules to speak off. Since everyone is using a PC, why not let the Archbishops themselves have one that suits their lifestyle.
