It’ll not be wrong if we swap the nature with technology, though we’ll know that nature imbibes not only technology but everything. Earlier I introduced the Lobster Eye X-ray Telescope that was inspired with the lobster and here comes this amphibious robot that can walk on water and the idea is taken from the strange motion of the basilisk lizard.
The robot developed by engineers at Carnegie Mellon University can walk on land and water with equal ease. Researchers are planning to equip the Water Runner robot prototype with biochemical ’sensors to monitor water quality; deployed with cameras for spying, search-and-rescue or exploration; or outfitted with bacteria to break down pollutants.’
No doubt, the world is open for this masterpiece owing to its ability to walk both on land and water. Scientists are constantly tracking thousands of living creatures such as the gecko lizard, water-strider bugs, beetles and bacteria, and churn out a whole army of robots or zoo based on their distinct natural capabilities.
