Texas memory systems have built an extremely fast solid-state storage that can operate in pure Infiniband and mixed Infiniband environments. (Just wanted to tell you that Infiniband is an extremely fast serial data connection.)

The disk has a low latency and very high speed, which according to the company makes it the fastest memory storage in the world.
The RamSam drive as the company calls has the lowest access time which if of the order of 15 microseconds, which is around 250 times faster than its competitors. The disk also has got up to 50,000 random I/Os per second, which is also a whooping 100 times, better than the regular drives.
I am not to sure about the cost of the product but can say that the drive will cost near about a dollar per GB of space.
