5Have you booked your piece of land on moon? What not yet? Don’t worry; you still have some time. It’s crystal clear that the development of new technologies will cut the cost of space travel dramatically and we can look forward to make our establishments over their.

A breakthrough giant stellar called ‘Slingshot’ worked upon by researchers at Glasgow University will soon propel spacecraft to the moon involving very low costs.

NASA believes to incorporate the technology for manned space missions. Under the project, giant rotating polyethylene fibre wires will be launched into orbit to hurl the spacecrafts, launched with low fuel payload, deeper into space. ‘The tether would use solar cells to produce an electric current, which would push against the earth’s magnetic field to create the huge force required to fling the craft into space.’

The system will make the spacecraft to hit the moon’s atmosphere within four days. Another tether in the moon’s lower orbit will accept the spacecraft and also launch it back, without the need of any propellant.
