You can heat or cool either side of the mattress with the touch of a button. The temperature can be adjusted from 15 to 48 degree Celsius. The mattress uses silicon tubing with around 750cc of water and a microclimate control system that heats and cools the water. It slips under the sheets of your bed and the microclimate control unit sits on the side of the bed. You can place the unit under the bed as well. It comes with an automatic mode where the temperature goes to the extreme at the beginning and slowly regulates to a suitable temperature and stabilizes.

Use of water in the mattress is a new technology as compared to other beds, which uses air. Water is a semiconductor, which flows in the soft coils of the bed and adjusts the temperature. Once a month, you have to replace the water. Apart from the bed, the motor used in the microclimate control unit does not create any noise, hence is viable for sleeping.

Sleeping for six to eight hours every night is very important for everyone. However, due to conditions like heat, many people are unable to sleep properly. Medical experts always try to find out solutions for this. The solution is the temperature-controlled bed. Apart from providing good sleep for required hours, it will prevent hot flashes caused by warm sleeping environments.

The bed comes with a price tag of 49,800 yen ($615) and looks like an inexpensive way to ensure a sound sleep. It is not sure whether it will be launched in the US, but if it does, that will be great. So, in summers cool your bed down with the use of this bed and during winters increase the temperature and snuggle under your comforter.

Power consumption can be up to 100W in summer and 33W in winter. Size of the mattress is 970x1,950mm. The weight is 6 kg, 2.5 for the mattress and 3.5 for the unit.
