To the utmost despair and as a hard fact its totally unfair what we the inhabitants of this planet are putting our own mother nature into malign consequences. Technology has however itself bestowed us with the comforts to uplift our existence but on the other hand has given us some facts which are not easy to go down our throats. Developing nations are however groaning under the newest form of evil which the modern world has termed as the E-waste. This is actually the newest form of garbage which is not at all biodegradable and thus remains in the environment for years to come , unless not totally got ridden of. Every electronic equipment however big or small poses an equal amount of hazard and thus in my opinion serious measures should be taken to get rid of this unique form of garbage. This E-waste is increasing its hold on countries like China , Japan, US and definitely the list doesn’t stop here infact its rising day by day. About 150 million television sets, washing machines, refrigerators, air-conditioners and computers are discarded every year in China, as well as an unknown amount of other home electronics, according to statistics from the ‘China Home Electronics Association’
Infact an overwhelming 80 per cent of the home electronics thrown out by the developed world end up on container ships bound for Asia, with 90 percent of those destined for China, said a recent report by the Beijing-based Science and Technology Daily, the official newspaper of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
