The much-anticipated technical details of Samsung Blu-Ray and HD-DVD combo player are finally out. As expected by many , the BDP-UP5000 will support all the formats including, wmv, avi and MPEG. In addition to that Samsung HD-DVD combo player will also get rid of stilted motion effects.
If the company sources are to be believed (and they are quite reliable), this latest offering from Samsung can output movies at either film-native 24 frames per second or as quickly as 60 frames per second for faster videos. The company even says that even at 1080p there’s a guarantee that movie will play just fine. This I’m not quite able to digest.
No final word on price as yet but it is expected to be around 400 Euro, which is not that costly when one takes into consideration the features of this DVD player. Samsung BDP-UP5000 will hit the market in October. Watch this space for more details.
