Synaptics' ClearPad 3000 features 10-finger multitouch display
Synaptics rolled out it latest multi-touch ClearPad™ 3000 Series capacitive touch screen. This device can distinguish ten different finger touches simultaneously like pinch and rotate. It also features low latency and high accuracy of ±1 mm. ClearPad™ 3000 has 48 sensing channels and advanced power management which enables it to boast of screen sizes of upto 8 inches.
This device is nearly borderless unlike it's counterparts out in the market, that increase its touchscreen area. ClearPad™ 3000 Series touch sensors are only 0.300 mm thick and consume 5 mA in full active mode, 150 µA nominal, and 12 µA in deep sleep mode. Its will be a boon to the high-end smart phones, handheld gaming, and personal navigation devices.ClearPad™ 3000 series samples will be available by November this year.Video after the jump.
