GS Yuasa and the University of Tokyo have launched SHOJI: Symbiotic Hosting Online Jog Instrument that is capable of keeping a continuous track of mood inside a room and transmits the data at a remote destination. All this is done through two different terminals with one of them installed at your room and the other at the place you want the information. The information can be seen in form of different colored LED's which give a particular light for a particular color, for example red for anger, green for piece and blue for sadness. The system is similar to KOTOHANA and consists of a pair of terminals placed at separate locations. Each terminal is equipped with a full-color LED array, a microphone and five sensors (developed at the University of Tokyo) that detect light, temperature, humidity, infrared radiation and ultrasonic waves.

GS Yuasa will soon put SHOJI to a series of field tests at Tokyo-area companies, allowing head office managers to monitor the mood at branch offices. The product will be launched in April 2007 at a price of $2,500 to $3,300.
