Multifunctional 'Survival Pod': Concept for Extreme Conditions

It is easy to survive in the urban areas but life takes a 180 Degree spin the moment you plan to explore. Unseen and unpredictable dangers can hit you hard and without aid under those circumstances you can do all but nothing. But those who tread those distances smartly use tools as the Survival Pod. Daniel Vieira designed Survival Pod, is a self-contained unit designed to be a lifeboat, tent, stretcher, water-purification kit and storage container, ah.. just all that. The idea with this was to come up with a product that could be manufactured as survival tool for the third world nations and too for the developed states - that are doomed by the floods and tsunamis. No surprises that it managed in winning the IDEA Design Exploration Gold Award.
