With due consideration for changing times, Sumitomo Chemical Co Ltd has been bettering our lives with its advanced technologies and this time around the Japanese company brings a new OLED panel. Showcased for the first time at the Automotive Engineering Exposition from May 19 to 21 this year, the 6.5-inch prototype is developed by the company's Device Development Center. For now, the company hasn’t revealed any detailed specifications of this active matrix type OLED panel. All that is known is that the device structure is a bottom emission type that gets light from the side of the TFT substrate. A printing technology will be used to apply RGB colors, while a special polymer material has been developed for the light emitting device of the OLED panel.
