The Gilbert U-238 Atomic Energy Lab, ah! Haven’t we just loved the freakish toy lab? Yes, I know we can’t go back to the days when those unique pieces were sold, but time gives us all an opportunity. Selling on eBay is a 1949 Gilbert Atomic Energy Lab in mint condition. The pricey toy lab for now is selling for around 1/5 of its value, in the past we have seen them go as far as $5,000. The lab includes “a U-239 Geiger counter, Electroscope, Spinthariscope, Wilson Cloud Chamber, nuclear spheres model, a book on prospecting for uranium and the Gilbert Atomic Energy Manual.” Are you still waiting?
