Students of KITECH showcase their version of a flying robot in World IT Show

We have reiterated about night time vigilante flying robots, we have harped about aerial drones hovering across agricultural fields and now it is time for some sci-fi bot action from the Far-East. Students from Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (shortened as KITECH) have unveiled their advanced version of a small flying robot during the ‘World IT Show 2011’ happening in COEX, Seoul from May 11th-14th.

With its ability to fly, the robot in this case incorporates a VTOL robot platform to deliver real-time image information, control and managing functions. This type of image recording and data transferring can actually come in handy during emergency situations (as was in the case of Guardian Angel).

This recent spurt of robot technology especially in field of surveillance has seriously made its definitive impact with practicality as well as convenience. Various important tasks like reinforcement of social security to even high risk jobs like fire fighting can be adroitly accomplished by such diminutive yet efficient robots.
