There is no dearth of applications that can make use of the touch-screen features of iPhone or iPod Touch, and yet PocketGuitar seems to one up most of them. This neat application allows user to pluck some guitar tunes without getting any calluses.
Developed by Shinya Kasatani as a Google Code project, the application installs a virtual guitar replete with all the frets and strings on your device. No lame ass pre-recorded stuff here, the application instead allows user to recycle the songs on their iPod/iPhone for some real plucks. And the best part is that the application is available for free under “Toys” category at the url: http://podmap.net/apps.
And trust me you’d want to use a screen protector with this application. I mean extended guitar solos, we all know what they can do to you, let alone your pmp.
