What would you do if you suddenly got an opportunity to take a year-long trip around the world but you found yourself split between the chance of a lifetime and a whole year’s worth of your favorite daily soaps? Worry not; it is just for TV maniacs like you that Toshiba Japan has added two new display series to its REGZA line. The ZH500 is offered in 56 and 46 inch models with full HD displays at 120 Hz, 4x HDMI (1080/60p, 24p) inputs, 3x Ethernet (with DLNA support), 2x USB, Bluetooth, Firewire, SD slot and a DVR that can record all the shows you missed on TV on its staggering 300GB hard drive. The ZV500 also has two displays, a 42 and a 37 incher, both offering full HD and a few features of the ZH500, but it does not have the hard drive advantage. But it is capable of adding more disc space over the Ethernet via an I-O Data REGZA drive wrapped in DTCP-IP DRM and its recently developed speaker system, which uses Bamboo fiber to reduce distortion and other disturbances that can hinder your enjoyment of The Simpsons reruns. Pricing ranges from $3500 to $6000, but that’s more than a bargain for you not missing a moment of Ellen or Oprah while you are out there making your own version of Lost.
