Steampunk Robocop is an artefact made of recycled metal by Kreatworks

Remember Robocop, a 1987 American science fiction-action film. It was centred on a police officer, Detroit Police Officer Alex James Murphy, who was cruelly murdered and later on was re-created as a super-human cyborg known as “Robocop“. Inspired from this figure, artists from Kreatworks, have incorporated recycled metal to create this amazing Steampunk RoboCop super-human cyborg RoboCop sculpture that has its body made from scrap metal, old auto parts and machine.

It is 240 cm high, 150 cm long and 110 cm wide. The sculpture made is pretty strong and to make sure the Steampunk RoboCop keeps its shine intact for a long time, the artist has given it a lacquer coat that also keeps it protected from rust. The Steampunk RoboCop costs $6,400 USD. The artist has not only kept the actual Robocop in mind but has also the tag of green. We can say that, as he has created the sculpture using the recycled metals and the dumped nut and bolts and even the discarded recycling involves reusing old metal material, which constitute of steel and aluminum mostly and make out new products with that.

Recycling old metal products uses 95 percent less energy than manufacturing it from new materials which can save our natural resources and reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. It also reduces the need for mining, lowers production costs for metal manufacturers and helps deliver quality metal products throughout the world. Various other firms like the Kreatworks that deal in products made of recycled metal, boosts the metal recycling industry. Not only the Steampunk RoboCop, but also other Steampunk sculpture that are built in the workshop are all just a pile of scrap metal that had the luck of ending in places that will appreciate not only the crafty Steampunk but also the green aspect of the sculpture. The fictional crime-fighting machinery which would have otherwise been only increasing the land fill heap.
