Rag And Bone, bike with a steampunkish makeover
Steampunk technology is growing steadily and has carved out a niche for itself among rodders. It refers to any piece of technology that does not fit in a given period of time. The technology would usually be from an earlier era. It also deals with the effects of technology on social problems. As attainability and availability of technology is a major hassle, major concepts like transuranic elements, luminiferous ether, the relationship between electricity and life, and also atomics are dealt with. Clockwork, steam, electrics, chemical, biological and atomic technologies are studied and combined to form new products. Among rodders, steampunk is a subculture which includes objects that are modded into a victorian mechanical style. So with this in mind, we have the 'Rag and Bone' a septuacycle, a seven wheeled bike. A Rat Rod Bikes Form member Gaskill created this bike, whose front looks like a suspended amber headlamp. It is doubtful how it would pass bumps and craters on roads but the bike looks wonderfully victorian and has an old industrial age touch to it.
