Steampunk Atomic Disruptor is one heck of a Raygun
I am glad to break this to all ray gun fanatics, who’d been searching the shelves in their endeavor to actually find a decent one. The Atomic Pistol was one ray gun, which satisfied the nerd in me for a while, and because it wasn’t till eternity, I was too looking for a better alternative. Finally I have found a replacement in the Atomic Disruptor Raygun.

A DIY venture by Cohophoto, more photos on his Flickr photostream, is a Steampunk concept made entirely from old radio and camera parts. Though, this one doesn’t work and therefore may sadden a tinge because most of us would have imagined it to, by the real-like visual delight that the Atomic Disruptor Raygun provides, yet it lives up well to the amusing elucidation of the Victorian era, shaped well out of modern day trash and steam.

For the handle of the gun, the creator used an old super-8 movie camera. The flash mount is an 8mm projector lens which forms the barrel. Vacuum tubes from a vintage radio go into the other parts of the gun.

Exciting piece of creative art, you can try your hands on too.
