Half the work would be considered done if your car knew how to park itself. It’s such a Utopian situation, but with Junior - the robotic car, this seems quite possible. Made by Stanford Racing Team, the robotic car has been taught how to park itself by putting itself into reverse and accelerating up to 25 miles per hour and then applying breaks to set the wheel to turn sharply, to slide sideways into the parking space. And, the word is that it can repeatedly and reliably park itself in this way.

This robotic car was first introduced to the world in Defense Advanced Research Projects agency urban challenge 2007, securing the second place then. Since that time, the team has been working hard to teach it complicated things like parking itself and today they seem to have succeeded. Wow! This is great, but I really don’t think everyone on this earth can have that robotic car so if someone is reading, it is just a suggestion, maybe we could have software or something that could give our cars this capability, if our car cannot be robotic. Imagine, the novice drivers like me will cherish the gift forever.
