Meet the new spider man who is barely 13 years old, so that technically makes him the new spider boy in town. Hibiki Kono, a teenage boy, scaled his school’s wall with his newly crafted vacuum cleaner-aided machine. I am so sure it would have been a sight worth watching. Taking inspiration from Jem Stansfield’s creation showcased on BBC1's Bang Goes The Theory science show last year and the help of design lessons at his school, he made a backpack-mounted gadget in five months.

The gadget uses the power of two 1,400-watt Tesco Value vacuum cleaners, attaching him to the wall with the help of wooden suction pads, attached to the vacuum nozzles. In order to move higher, the kid switches the vacuum supplying his "free" hand pad off, which allows it to be released from the wall in such a way that the other pad’s suction is not affected. And, each pad is also attached to a stirrup so that his each leg moves in coordination with each arm. Hibiki studies at King’s College School in Cambridge and stays with his mother. This is one creation and that too a great one, taking in consideration the age of the kid. I am sure he has a long way to go and now I can tell my kids, you can become a spider man too.
