Solar powered chargers are slowly making their way into the commercial scheme of the thriving electronic market. Developing almost in-sync with the tablet domain and featuring a sustainable side to it, such chargers do have the potentiality to cater to the practical side of affairs with their portability. Incorporated with four 2 watt solar panels on the front-side of the system, the product can make an iPad fully charged in a period of ten hours. While, it can provide one hour of video playback with one hour of direct solar charging. The extended size of the contraption allows it to have a greater number of panels, hence accentuating its efficiency in comparison to other chargers. The volume of the product is also used as a spatial advantage by integrating a convenient carrying case with the device itself.

Infused with a sturdy 39 Kwh battery, the device features a high powered USB (for tablets) and a standard USB for other gadgets such as digital camera batteries and MP3 players. Conventional back-up batteries are also integrated for direct charging form electrical outlets. So with these advantages, and taking into account its considerable size, the product is estimated to come with a price tag of $299. Not too much of a price to pay for sustainability fused with intrinsic efficiency.
