Sony's sharpest projector with 8 million pixel resolution

Sony is ready to take the world of digital cinema with storm with its new '4K' projector that promises sharpest resolution delivering images of about 8 million pixels horizontally.

The '4K' projector, claimed to be more rich, stable and consistent, will showcase Sony Pictures' 'The Da Vinci Code' in LA. The projector will play the movie from a computer disk or even via satellite or fibre-optic cables.

Andrew Stucker, general manager of the digital cinema systems group at Sony Electronics, said:

Anything that enhances the visual experience, that better supports the artistry, the story of the motion picture being exhibited, anything that raises the bar of higher quality is a benefit to the moviegoer.

Soon, the latest projector will take over traditional ones in theatres to deliver an unbelievably rejuvenating movie experience.
