We’ve heard from Microsoft that their hands-free motion detecting game controller, the Project Natal, will not be amid us any time before Christmas of 2010. Therefore, if Sony’s motion controller for its PlayStation 3 was something that you guys were waiting for the Wii alternative, then the wait may have just been pushed a little longer.

Like Microsoft, Sony too has delayed the launch date of their wand-based game controller for autumn this year, in contrary to the summer release date the maker had previously mentioned. Sony’s device will be a wand with a colored orb on one end, movement of which will be tapped by an onscreen camera. This movement in the air across the screen will allow the user to control onscreen action. Because there is still time before the Project Natal and the Sony's controller make it to the fore, I think Nintendo can work out ways to better the technology they have revolutionized with the Wii.
