
Sony fans have not one but four reasons to rejoice, for Sony has decided to launch four of their VAIO notebook PCs- FW, Z, SR, and BZ series. The laptops are based on Intel’s Centrino 2 ‘Monetevina’ mobile platform and use the Intel Core 2 Duo ‘Penryn’ 45 nm processors. New sizes like 16.4 inch and 13.1 inch have been introduced straying away from conventional sizes. The FW is the one with the largest screen of 16.4 inches. They have either 3 GB or 4 GB rams, 320 GB Hard Disk, Blu-ray Disc drives in a few models. The Z series measures 13.1 inches and has an HDMI output. They come with 2GB Ram, and 250 GB Hard Disk. The SRs have 13.3 inch screens, 3 or 4 GB Ram, 250 GB Hard Disk. The BZ series are the conventional and standard models and measure 15.4 inches. Accurate prices are not known yet as different websites have quoted different prices.
