Sony unveils micro size DAV-IS10 home theater system
Sony recently unveiled the Sony DAV-IS10 micro home theater system that boasts of delivering big sound in a tiny package. The 5.1 channel home-theater-in-a-box system sports five miniature speakers – each almost the size of a golf ball. Matched with a compacted, single disc DVD/CD player/receiver, the system is integrated with a distinctive subwoofer, which supports the small speakers to generate sounds typically held in reserve for complete size speakers.
Whilst the system sports tiny speakers, it is also integrated with all the power of usual home theater-in-a-box systems with 450 watts of total system power (satellite speakers 50W x 5, plus 2-way subwoofer 100W x 2). The system has particularly been adjusted to deliver a natural sound field that takes the focus off the subwoofer whilst adding mid range and lower frequencies.
