The shake that shattered Japan leaving emotionally disturbing pictures, has a new angle to it now. The shake has blown the cover of the secret additions in the next version of the iPhone. Rumormongers are placing their bets on an 8 megapixel camera that the iPhone 5 will offer.

Although there is already much speculation about the iPhone 5 carrying better features such as: a faster processor, a larger screen and a better operating system, Geeky-Gadgets, based on interviews with heads at Apple and Sony, is trying to read between the lines and has come up with the theory that the souped up iPhone will also offer an 8mp camera. It will be interesting to see what is actually offered in iPhone 5.
In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Sony's Howard Stringer said that the Japanese earthquake has caused a delay in disbursing image sensors to companies like Apple. This is big news, since Sony does not currently supply Apple with image sensors for the iPhone or the iPad.
With Apple belting out newer, faster and better technologies with its gadgets, especially iPhone and iPad, introducing an 8 megapixel camera should probably be the next smart move on Apple's part. If the rumor is true, many photographers-in-the-making and those looking to capture 'Kodak moments' in high definition, the upgraded camera will prove to be nothing less than a blessing.
