Sony all set to deliver first 50 GB Blu-ray Disc

Following its 25 GB Blu-ray titles in June, Sony is all set for its much awaited 50 GB Blu-ray disc, become leader to release a film using a high-definition format and double the data storage capacity than traditional standard definition media.

The hit comedy Click, Action-drama Black Hawk Down and The Ballad of Ricky Bobby are hot let looses by Sony Pictures that will be available in coming days.

With prolonged capacity, the 50 GB discs will offer high-definition picture quality and better sound as well. Together with extended scenes, interviews, gag reels and theatrical trailers, Sony is looking forward to release two Blu-ray recorders, the BDZ-V9 that will offer a 500 GB drive and the BDZ-V7 featuring a 250 GB drive; and will be available by December in Japan. No words on cost, hang around till next update.
