With a simple yet classic design, XDR-S3HD tabletop is the very first HD radio from the house of Sony and it marks the entry of Sony’s entry to the HD Radio game. Festooned with a cherry wood finish, the tabletop boasts a large back-lit blue LCD display positioned in a mesh-covered front panel. The device comes equipped with stereo speakers boasting simulated surround sound function, an integrated AM/FM/HD digital tuner with 20 AM and 20 FM presets, and bass and treble controls to adjust the sound to your taste. An auxiliary input jack lets you playback MP3 files from your digital music player.

Supplementary features include a wireless remote control and a built-in clock with sleep timer and alarm. Sony is also offering XT-100HD, an external HD Radio tuner for attuned Sony car stereos for $100. Anyway, you can look out for $200 XDR-S3HD tabletop in July.
