Sony, in a measure to join the list of manufacturers that develop 3D laptops with 1080p display capabilities, showed off a 3D Vaio notebook prototype in its press event at IFA 2010. The 3D Vaio laptop is scheduled to feature 3D button and Bravia shutter glasses to separate what the right and left eyes see. Showing us the future of laptops in its prototype, Sony made sure we were floored by the look of this 16-inch 16:9 display notebook, which will come with a 240Hz refresh rate to match with the 3D rate of 60 frames per second.

Stuffed in with the Vaio F innards, the Sony 3D Vaio laptop will be released in the spring of 2011. Though we have no word on price or the specs yet, from what we see, we guess this will be revolutionary. According to Sony, there is a chance of the final product differing from the prototype, so we’ll refrain from speculations now.
