Sony’s new autostereoscopic 'Ray Modeler' display recognizes gestures

Sony has just unveiled a new 360-degree autostereoscopic display technology, in the form of Ray Modeler. It projects 360 individual images onto umpteen special LEDs, which provides a volumetric display, viewable without the glasses from any angle. It is also capable of recognizing gestures, allowing you to manipulate the objects displayed on the screen. In case you are not satisfied with the written explanation, you can tease your senses at SIGGRAPH 2010 in Los Angeles between July 25th and 29th in the Emerging technologies section.
