sony 360 degree 3d display
We wouldn’t have taken the 360 degree display to be anything new, if this prototype display from Sony didn’t flaunt to be a 3D display. Ambitious Sony has revealed a cylindrical concept 3D display which can be viewed from all angles without any special 3D glasses.

To be displayed at Tokyo’s Digital Contents Expo this Thursday, this 360 degree 3D display measures about 10.6-inches tall and 5.1-inches in diameter. Supporting only 24-bit, 96 by 128-pixel stereoscopic color images right now, there aren’t a lot of applications that can be thought with this prototype display, but Sony thinks of using it for digital signage or a digital photo frame at home. Whatever that is, we sure see a future in this display and hope it is realized with some more perfection.
