A brand name Sony rarely hopes to get complains, but Sony Reader seems struggling for survival in its reading niche against general-purpose competitors like tablet PCs and the iPhone. Sony reader with only memory of 64 MB at $349.99, it's kind of expensive, is limited to getting most e-books from the Connect e-book store.

The Reader, based on E-Ink technology, itself comes in a small, well-organized box with

magnification of text for sight-impaired readers and daylight readable, high contrast, high resolution, near 180º viewing angle. It can store about 80 books for you.

Once the technology gets better and prices drop, the popularity of these e-book reading

devices will surely rise.
