Remote controls don’t often make it into the limelight here, but tagged with Sony there has to be something special in there, and that’s exactly what we have here in the Sony NAS-Z200iO and its controller. A FM/AM radio, CD player and an iPod dock which hook up via a USB or an audio-in-port, the NAS-Z200iO connects to the PC or Mac via DLAN and/or Wi-Fi to help you stream music from your system music library itself. The remote control, however, features a 3.5-inch color LCD, which aids in easy browsing through menus. The music from the system is delivered through 20-watt speakers. Though it isn’t as extraordinary a thing to cost $1000, but in case you have the inclination for the name Sony, you can queue up around stores in September to grab one.
