Sony has demonstrated that the company is capable of adding awesome technology in limited space by showing off super-slim 9mm-thick OLED displays at Display 2007 Expo.
This 9mm-thick display packs a 1080p resolution along with a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio.
OLED displays are thinner and are much brighter than their counterpart LCD displays and OLED displays also consume less power.
The company has also demonstrated a low-end version that is even thinner at just 3mm. This is not HD but still shows 1,024 x 600.
No word on the pricing and availability of these displays, but we will keep you posted.
