Sony delivers world’s first full-HD display in 13.1-inch Vaio Z
In another first, Sony has delivered a new Vaio Z series laptop supporting world’s first 13.1-inch full-HD (1,920 x 1,080) display. Accompanied by ambient light sensor for on screen brightness control and keyboard backlighting in the dark, the laptop’s chassis is made in carbon fiber and aluminum, which not only makes the machine light but also makes it sturdy. The laptop’s dealt in with a quad-SSD setup to reach 256GB storage capacity and comes stuffed with Intel Core i7/i5 processor, 4 to 8GB RAM, 500GB HDD, Nvidia GeForce GT 330M discrete graphics card, DVD burner and runs Windows 7. Expected to be in the same Z series price bracket (about $1,900) the Vaio Z is expected to hit the Asian market in March this year with a new Assist button to activate the Vaio Card app, which allows basic system maintenance and troubleshooting.
