Panasonic announced four new full HD 3D Blu-ray players just recently, and with the intuition to cast a similar assault on market Sony has launched the BDP-S470, a standalone 3D ready Blu-ray player, that’s first for the company. A firmware upgrade will pop out in summer this year, which would let the users’ play and view 3D content from BDP-S470 Blu-ray player. The Blu-ray player besides the 3D quality, will come compatible with a BD Remote app which would allow iPhone users to control the Blu-ray player with their handset. To be made available for an expected price of $200, the BDP-S470 stream content from Amazon, Netflix, YouTube, Slacker, NPR, Sony, and more.
