Sony claims world's first Mini-DV tape

Sony has a full line of Mini DV tapes to meet almost all your needs, from the rugged Premium Series, which certainly embodies excellence, to the Digital HD Series. And by including the Sony DVM85HDit has earned the honor of manufacturing the world's first Mini-DV tape, which can record up to 85 minutes of high-def content.

So far, the maximum capacity of the Mini-DV was 63 minutes. The Sony DVM85HD or 85 minute Mini-DV is expected to be available in Japan from September 15 for 1,500 Yen each ($ 13).
