Earlier Sony was there with its super-slim 9mm-thick OLED displays at Display 2007 Expo. Now, Sony has taken wraps off a new 2.5-inch OLED screen, which it claims to be the world's first flexible, full-color organic electroluminescent display (OLED) built on organic thin-film transistor (TFT) technology.

The novel OLED screen is just 0.3mm thick and is made of a glass substrate that allows the users to bend the screen. The flexible full-color display boasts a resolution of 169x120 and weighs a mere 1.5 grams. Sony has its own plans to let loose a new line of baby TVs this year and this new innovation is being claimed to open the doors for the development of thinner, lighter and softer electronics.

For now, Sony hasn't commented anything on the availability of the products featuring the new technology. Check out the video.
