Sony bundles PS2 with PS3, without software emulation and logic

Japan's Ultra One monthly technology magazine reports that Sony will incorporate a mini PS2 in every PS3 and surprisingly via physical hardware integration. That means the PlayStation 3 will come bundled with the single Emotion Engine (the PS2 CPU) and Graphic Synthesizer (the PS2 graphics chip) combo chip to power the PS2.

In the absence of software emulation, the current incorporation will give a fillip to the overall cost of the PS3. Though Sony is planning to upgrade later versions be removing the hardware and software emulation, the current scenario will again give a big jolt to the consol with respect to the rival 360. The new version will definitely put up a bad show, especially when Sony is reluctant to do any major upgradations in the PS2. Rather the PS3 will equip the same CPU clock speed or memory amounts, considering that all PS3s will run the same games and a large flash memory.

We hope things to change before the actual launch of the PS3 in November 17.
