Solarin Turtle: The World's First Solar-Powered Scooter
Our target to capture the unbridled solar energy to its full is still far from reality, but we are moving very fast towards total accomplishment. One of our companion, we encountered while moving towards the goal, claims to be 'the world's first solar-powered scooter'. However, we doubt the claim, as Italians dropped a solar-powered scooter prototype nicknamed 'Sunny' couple of months back. The three-wheeler Sunny delivers a top speed of 20 kmph.
Anyway, Solarin Holdings' 'Solarin Turtle' is a best choice for environment friendly travelers who want to save gas and cut down on emissions. The Solarin Turtle will be built in Malaysia, but hopefully will soon capture the whole globe, as evident by a 100,000 units order placed by China.
All we know about the masterpiece is that it churns out a top speed of 55 mph or 90 km/h and recharges via thermal heat or electrical charge. Expect it to be a bit pricy.
