Sneak peak at the Windows Phone mobile OS

Posted By: Gaurav Sood | Aug 3 2009

Windows has revealed the new Windows Phone (upgraded version of Windows Mobile 6.5) OS in a cool new Zune-esque look and feel that features a redesigned UI, 24-bit menu icons (for using all the applications on a single widget) and flash support. The demonstration reveals Windows marketplace options similar to Apple's App store, in facilitating users to get applications designed for specific operators. The only downside is the multi-touch "pinch and zoom in and out" option, but that will be fixed later on. Windows Phone OS will arrive sometime around in December around about the same time as the release of Windows 7.
