Small Speakers, Big sound: Courtesy Nanotechnology

What most people think is that the bigger the speaker the powerful is the output, nanotechnology has however defied this convention. Panasonic has developed a new technique that incorporates nanotechnology in small speakers to give an output that can be compared to a boombox.

The process known as Nano Bass Exciter delivers high-fidelity bass output. It uses porous carbon inside the speaker enclosure to create an acoustic environment conductive to creating rich low-frequency sounds.

The speaker houses nanometer-sized pores that absorb air and when a bass note is produced, the air gushes out of the speaker forcing a sudden decrease in the cabinet. This process moves the diaphragm of the speaker producing high-quality sound.

If all goes according to the plan then we soon can expect to see cellphones that produce the same sound that you get from your high-end home theater system.
