The way scientists are digging deep into the nano-tech ocean and discovering hidden treasures certainly proves that great things always come in small packages.



The latest hunted treasure includes these lithium-ion battery electrodes developed with the help of nanotechnology in France, which surpasses all conventional electrodes in performance and size. Although lithium ion batteries power almost all portable electronic devices today, safety is still a major concern, as there are always chances of explosion owing to excessive increase in temperature; as recently happened with the Dell laptop (though we are not sure about the exact reason behind the explosion, in the absence of any clear reports).



We hope that the breakthrough development would change the present scenario, coupling performance with compactness.
