Here is a concept Friction Vacuum Cleaner that will surely sweep you off your feet. Tom Mannington from UK developed the Friction Vacuum Cleaner Product Concept as a design project but if it ever reaches the manufacturing unit, one would surely love to have it. The vacuum cleaner doesn’t use electricity and still uses a vacuum fan system. A snail casing around the fan has been employed t accelerate the air caused by the fan. Flywheels/clutch bearing system helps the fan to keep spinning and the trick gearing system helps turn the drive 90 degrees. The fan has an RPM of 6000, which is half the speed of an electric leaf blower. Using stereolithography machine and the CAD data, the concept was prototyped into a working product. This vacuum cleaner is not only efficient but also environmentally friendly.

It’s like the threading the eyebrows thing in the beauty parlor. Just using friction. Ouch!
