Skiers delight: Self-waxing skis for the snowy terrains

Posted By: Piyush Mehta | Sep 22 2007

Don't be surprised if a Britisher ends up winning the skiing scene in 2008/09. A touch advantage can make a difference. New self-waxing skis are ready to hit the deck claiming a faster speed on those snowy terrains.

It works by releasing a lubricant onto the base of the ski as the skier goes downhill. The self-waxing system pushes wax from your binding lifters through tiny holes in the skis. It puts a new coat of wax on your skis and is expected to increase your speed by 8 percent which can actually bridge the gap between a simple participation and a podium stand.

Cost is not a criteria till you keep hitting the podium every now and then but still it is approximately ₤80 more than the existing ones.
