In fact it’s the wheel that plays all the magic to keep the cycle rolling. It is equipped with a powerful 1000 Watt BLDC hub motor which propels the rider forwards and backwards at up to 10 mph along with an electronic balance control module. The latter performs several critical functions, including motor speed control, motor torque control, and regenerative braking. The SBU is powered by a lithium-ion nano-phosphate battery placed under the seat. It is capable of covering more than 12 miles between charges. The inicycle requires no pedaling and the rider can control the speed by leaning forward or backward to speed up or stop.

On the exterior, the SBU is built using aluminum frame and supports a deluxe gel seat for safe riding. Its foot pegs are located just a few inches off the ground thereby helping maintain side-to-side balance in the eventuality of emergency braking. It also features stereo sound system with the optional iPod or equivalent music device along with Bluetooth cellular phone integration. Interestingly in the eventuality of a fall the SBU motor automatically switches off to prevent damage. An amazing security feature of the SBU includes keyed ignition to protect against theft.
