The strap is cut from one single hide (i.e. a single piece of leather), guaranteeing you its long life. The hide is polished and oiled to give its owner a smooth finish and feeling. What follows is gruesome process of hand rubbing the bamboo with tung oil, thus making its surface waterproof and resistant to alcohol, acetone and edible acids spills. This is because the oil penetrates into the surface and hardens to form a water resistant layer. It is also treated with Polyurethane that further provides a good insulation and packing. The end product case is hard with a smooth and glossy finish.
