Shedding kilos with Animate - your wearable videogame, communicator
Video games have glued us in front of LCDs and plasmas. Obesity is on the rise, but coach potatoes aren’t moving. Portable consoles and motion sensing games (Wii) have brought in some agility, but the result’s still nil. Tapping on two engrossing entities for the youth today, designers Hugo Kretz & Marc Haldemann have come up with the Animate, a camera, MP3 player, watch band, communication device and a videogame, all in one, that will surely give mama’s an added assistance to keep their kids absorbed and get them moving out of the house.

Flaunting gadgets is a mania amid kids, and if they get a gaming and a communication device in one, which doesn’t let them loose on the chit-chat and the favorite games, it’s just wow… nothing beyond. So kids, listen to music, click photos and chat with your friends by just wearing the Animate on your wrist for a watch, and yeah, there are points and avatars to be won in the games. Just don’t get too engrossed and avoid mishaps but keep gaming on the move. Video after the cut.
